KEC is looking for a creative, driven Communications Intern to join our team this summer! This is a paid internship for 12 weeks between the months of May through August. The application deadline is Friday, April 10, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.
Duties include:
•Internal and external communications, public relations, and marketing projects; including reporting, writing, editing, research, proofreading, and archiving
•Digital communication practices; including social media, website content, videography, photography, graphic and digital design.
•Special events planning and execution.
•Participates in promotion of members programs, community involvement, and engagement, and donation activities.
•Work on special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Good Oral and written communication skills to communicate with the general public, members, and fellow employees both tactfully and courteously.
•Proficiency in digital design software (Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva)
•Knowledgeable in basic computer skills (email, typing, Microsoft Office – Work, PowerPoint, Excel).
•Must be able to exhibit time management skills and be able to carry out a variety of activities that require a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently enrolled or plan to enroll in a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, PR, or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
Schedule:
•Expected hours: 30 per week

KEC is hiring for the position of Network Administrator. This position will remain open until it is filled. If you are enthusiastic about designing, building, and managing digital infrastructure both on-premises and cloud to ensure organizational uptime with a security and safety mindset, we are looking for you to join our Technology Team.
Position Summary:
KEC has an opening for a Network Administrator with a strong technical background and a combination of excellent communication skills and a service mindset. This includes technical expertise in network types (LAN, WAN, VPN) that involves the comprehensive design, implementation, and management of both hardware and software systems to maintain high availability, security, and performance to ensure resilience and prevent downtime. The ideal applicant must be an initiative-taker and highly driven with effective time management, while striving to fully understand and evaluate the solution instead of simply making things work, while fostering collaboration with internal technology staff and external vendor experts. The position can be based out of our Pleasanton or Karnes City office.
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required and a minimum of ten years’ experience specifically within the Utility/critical infrastructure sector. Must have a good attitude, a safe work ethic, and a valid driver’s license.
