Work Schedule: Daily on site attendance required

Position Summary
This is an entry-level position in the KEC Apprentice Lineman Program, designed to provide the comprehensive training and development needed to advance to a 1st Class Lineman. The purpose of this position is to perform skilled and unskilled line construction, maintenance, operations, and service work, as well as other assigned duties, while working as a helper to a serviceman or a construction crew.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a positive attitude, a safe work ethic, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to perform frequent moderate-to-heavy lifting. They must be able to learn and use Microsoft 365 applications and gain proficiency with the cooperative’s business software. Additionally, they must be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within nine months of hire. Applicants must live within 30 minutes of the office at 1824 W Good St, Pleasanton, TX 78064.

Position Summary
The Network Administrator designs, implements, secures, and supports KEC’s network and infrastructure environments. This role helps ensure the reliability, cybersecurity, performance, and resilience of the systems that keep the cooperative connected.

We’re looking for someone who takes a thoughtful approach to problem-solving, seeking to understand root causes and long-term solutions rather than quick fixes.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of network administration experience
• Experience with network design, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure management
• Utility, electric cooperative, or critical infrastructure experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to customer service
• Safe work ethic and valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud and hybrid environments
• Relevant industry certifications
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems with high availability requirements
