2026 Government in Action Youth Tour Recipients
The Karnes Electric Board of Directors is proud to announce the sponsorship of two exceptional students from our service area to participate in the Youth Tour organized by Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC). To be considered, students submitted applications and answered the essay prompt: “How do you think young people can make a difference in their communities, especially in rural areas?.”
Logan Dziuk from Poth ISD and Kenzie Rakowitz from Jourdanton ISD were selected as the 2026 recipients and will proudly represent Karnes this summer in Washington, D.C. This exciting trip is scheduled for June 14-21, 2026. We are thrilled to congratulate these outstanding students. This is an incredible opportunity for them to engage in meaningful experiences and learn more about electrical cooperatives.
