Karnes Electric Cooperative
The Home Team Advantage • Owned by Those We Serve

Karnes Electric Cooperative strives to meet the needs of our Members. After all, you're not only a Member of the Cooperative – you're an Owner.

Contact us whenever you have a question or concern regarding your power requirements. Karnes Electric Cooperative has the resources to meet your needs.

The Legislature of the State of Texas recognizes the local control and oversight of Municipal power companies and Electric Cooperatives. The Legislature has excluded these utilities from mandatory participation in the restructuring experiment and from state regulatory control.

This granted each organization the right to decide if, and when, participating in the restructured market would be beneficial for their consumers.

The Board of Directors of Karnes Electric Cooperative, Inc. has opted not to participate in electric deregulation at this time.

The Cooperative continues to monitor the restructured environment and will reconsider the item when it appears to be beneficial for all Karnes Electric Cooperative Members.
